**Originally posted on Oct 12, 2007** All these students are now in college or working life, as they've all graduated from HS. I still keep in touch with Momoko via FB - she's a great kid! This is a good example of the type of very short, one sentence at a time, conversations you can have with your typical JH students in Japan. I shot this video shortly after starting work at this JH, my 2nd main school added after I had already been an ALT for 3 years. I was much more adept at talking with JH students by this point, but I was still happy that the students were so nice and welcoming to me. **This is my original description box test from 2007** Here are six of my cool 9th graders at my new Jr High. I was showing them some pics at the break after lunch and decided we should make a "jikoshokai" (self-introduction) movie. Anyway - some of my new kids, like the girls here, are not shy and have been very welcoming to me, so I'm very happy about that. In fact, a few of these girls invited me to go hiking with them on a school trip next weekend. I'm sure I'll have some good videos from that day. :)
